Haute Hotels: Celebrity Life at the Bellagio Villas
Sep 18th, 2008 | By Travel Snob | Category: Better Travel
Ever wondered what it was like to travel like a celebrity? Well, you’re in for a treat. Here’s an inside look at the lavish and grandiose Las Vegas Bellagio Villas. No, it’s not just another Bellagio hotel room (although one could hardly say that any room at the Bellagio is “just another room”). The Villas are Bellagio’s exclusive, high-end hotel destinations for those who can comfortably drop $6,000 a night for a fully-furnished, mansion-away-from-mansion experience. Although your resident Travel Snob wasn’t able to spend 6-G’s myself, I did get a peek of this luxurious destination to share with you!
Aside from the fine art and fresh flowers arrangements that decorated the tables and walls of the 6,000 square-feet villa that I visited, there were accommodations I could only dream of, that is, unless unbeknownst to me barber chairs, dry saunas and personal massage tables have become everyday home necessities.
If you like to groove to music while bartending at a full size (and fully stocked) bar, you’re in luck. The villa has a living room entertainment set that can be tuned to whatever you want as as you shake up your cocktails. Let there be no mistake that this is a separate sound system from the one outside entertaining the private patio — where you can choose to lounge in lawn chairs, swim in the private pool or soak in the jacuzzi. To top it off, you also the option of pressing a button to spray mist down from the patio awning to keep off the desert heat. Now isn’t that awesome?
For the television junkie in you, television sets grace almost every room and restroom. My favorites are the large, personal televisions that can rise and fall into hidden chests in front of some of the beds. The beds themselves are all decorated with fancy sheets and dressy covers….and so comfortable that your short naps can easily turn into longer Z-z-z-z-z’s.
If you’re looking for a nice meal, there’s a dining room with a majestic marble table just down the hall from an equally impressive kitchen — the type of kitchen with equipment most people probably won’t even know how to use! With that said, I’m sure a personal chef can be provided upon request. And if you’re too impatient to wait for dinner, you can snack on the fresh fruit and chocolate truffles they have lying around.
To squeal and exclaim over, however, are the 4 main restrooms that are the size of most people’s living rooms. Not only are there vanity stations and multiple sinks in addition to polished marble floors and large bathtubs — each restroom also has columns and columns of high-ceiling, glass panel closets that more than rivals Carrie’s dream closet in The Sex and the City movie. As if that wasn’t enough, there are full size bottles of Michael Kors perfume if you’ve forgotten your own. There’s no punishment for being forgetful here!
But enough said. Relish the photos as I’m sure they’ll do more justice than my gleeful prose and tell me what you think!
