Nothing Like a Blue Mud Mask

I use several skin care products, but I’m not a fanatic about any particular brand or line. There is one product that I swear by and that’s H20 Plus‘ Sea Mineral Mud Mask. Unlike other thicker clay creams that are a bit pasty, the Sea Mineral Mud Mask is different. It initially is a creamy, blue consistency that’s very easy to apply. There’s a slight tingly-feeling at the onset, but that usually goes away within seconds as the mask begins to harden.
I usually apply a generous layer of the mud mask onto my face and lounge around for 10-15 minutes before rinsing the mask off. Since I can’t wear my glasses with the mask on (and because I try not to wear contacts late into the night), waiting for the mask to dry doubles-up as relaxation time for me. It’s a great excuse to just lay on the carpet and listen to music.
For quick fixes, or for days when 15 minutes is just too much to ask for, I try to isolate areas I want to cleanse. I’ve found that the mud mask works great on the lone pimple and usually will help reduce swelling.
I’m so much the devoted user that I’ve even converted my boyfriend use the product with me! He uses a version of the mud mask that’s recommended for skin that’s more oil-prone. If that’s what you’re looking for, then check out H20 Plus’ Sea Clear 10-Minute Mattifying Mud Mask.
H20 Plus has a great international brand, but finding a store in the United States may be more difficult since there are currently only stores in five states. Their website (www.h20plus.com), however, is very comprehensive and easy to use. Shipping and handling costs are standard. If you’d like a 15% discount at check out (who doesn’t like discounts?!), punch in this code (thanks to United Airlines): 175201. Enjoy!
