Unfortunately, we don’t have a stylist doing our hair every morning. And unfortunately, we only have two hands and not enough time. Not so fast. With these great tips, you can achieve an amazing blow out every day! Remember, with practice makes perfection, and beauty is something you shouldn’t skimp on.
First, make sure you have all the right tools. A super large round bristled brush helps give volume (think 3 inches diameter), a good blowdryer, hair clips to section off areas for easier styling, volumizing spray gel, some hairspray, a teaser comb, and a great pomade. With these on hand, get ready for an awesome blow out.
Apply volumizer to your hair either by spritzing it on or rubbing it in if you are using mousse. Make sure the product is evenly distributed from your roots to your ends.
Section your hair with hair clips into five or six sections, depending on the thickness of your hair: one on top, one on each side, and 2 or 3 in the back.
Working one section at a time, use your round brush to position it under your hair at the roots and aim your blowdryer down as you blowdry your hair. Keep the nozzle about one to two inches from your hair to keep your hair from overheating. Repeat moving the brush from roots to ends as your follow with the blowdryer above. Work in sections, starting from the back, then the sides and then the top of your head. To add extra volume, remember to lift your hair with the brush and blasting heat at that area. After blowdrying each section, remember to finish it off by blasting your hair with cold air. This helps seal your hair cuticles to prevent frizzing.
In the end, when your hair is all dry, use your hands to give your hair a little tousle so it looks effortlessly light and beautiful. To add more volume, tease your hair with a teaser comb and then hairspray it into place. Lastly, apply some pomade to some sections to make them fall however you like. You are now ready to take on the rest of the day. With hair this good, you are sure to feel great all day long.
