Mad About Christian Louboutin

Mad About Christian LouboutinI can’t bring myself to list the top brands of heels, because I will be cheating on my one and only TOP shoe designer, Christian Louboutin. Sure, there are Manolos, Jimmy Choos, and Prada, but I’ve tried them all, and Louboutins are the ones I heart. I’m talking about heels here, so it’s all about adding fierce height. We can talk about cute flats and sandals later. Oh, and I know they are hellishly expensive, but having a pair or two isn’t going to break your bank if you choose wisely. It’s an investment.

Why Louboutin? The designer started off designing shoes at a young age and selling them at parties, and soon, he had to open up his own boutique to meet the demand. The styles are all unique and personally designed by Louboutin. From classic shapes to extreme heel heights, all shoes are handcrafted to perfection. The designer himself directs the style and architecture of each boutique.

Just look at this beauty. Louboutin is known for his signature red soles, which was really a last minute design with a secretary’s red nail polish. And all that wear and tear on the red soles can be fixed soon. By the end of 2008, every pair you purchase will come with an extra red sole. I’m not too keen on how that will work, and I hope it’s not some stick on thing (talk about fugly and cheap). These shoes do not sacrifice comfort for style either; they truly are an amazing fit! I can run and dance in my Louboutins. Which is why I chose these shoes to be a part of The Conscious Snob. Not only are they beautiful, but they are comfortable, unique, and sexy.

Whether you save up for a pair, or just splurge during a happy-drunk shopping spree, you better hurry. Each hot new design gets snapped up quickly so you gotta make sure you have your right size. You can get a pair at Neiman Marcus or Net-A-Porter. It’s okay to splurge and spend money on something you love. You are someone beautiful, and having something nice to adorn yourself should not make you guilty, but feel more beautiful. It does not make you materialistic nor selfish. You deserve to treat yourself, so love yourself accordingly.
