Thinking about cutting your hair short for the summer? If so, then this might be a great opportunity for you to make-over someone else’s summer ‘do as well.

Recently, my friend told me that she was planning on donating her hair to a non-profit called Locks of Love. When she told me about the organization’s purpose and service, I immediately loved it.

Locks of Love takes donated hair and creates hair pieces for lower-income children who suffer from hair loss caused by medical diagnoses. The hair pieces are provided to the children free of charge or at a discount based upon their families financial need - but more importantly, they return to the children a sense of normalcy and confidence. Now that’s priceless.

So before you chop off your curls, see if they meet Locks of Love’s donation guidelines. If you can’t donate now, there’s always opportunities to do so in the future!
